This book was just a really nice place to spend a few evenings. I found myself reaching for it whenever I had some quiet time because it was so easy to settle into. It had a really enjoyable flow, and I liked getting to spend time with these characters. I especially loved that I never felt rushed while reading. I could take my time, enjoy each chapter, and just let the story unfold naturally. When I finished, I closed my Kindle with a smile and thought, “That was a good one.”

I loved this book from start to finish. From the characters to the world-building, everything is incredibly well thought out and detailed. I quickly identified with Kit and even found myself shedding a few tears. As someone who prides herself on always figuring out the ending in advance, this one caught me completely off guard. I never saw it coming, and I will definitely be buying book 2 to find out what happens next!

I’m completely blown away by this debut novel. The writing is incredible, the characters pull you in, and the adventure kept me hooked from start to finish. The world she created feels so imaginative and immersive, and I loved getting completely lost in it. And THAT ENDING. My jaw dropped, and now I desperately need to know what happens next. Such an impressive debut and an easy five stars. I cannot wait for book two!
